(1) Q: How to get to the University from the airports?

A: There are two airports in Shanghai , i.e. Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport.

(a) Pudong International Airport

* Take Airport Shuttle Bus No. 3 (RMB12 for bus fares) from the airport to Long Yang Lu Station of the metro, and then take a taxi (about RMB20) to the University. It takes about 40 minutes.

* Take maglev train (RMB75 for train fares) from the airport to Long Yang Lu Station of the metro, and then take a taxi (about RMB20) to the University. It takes about 20 minutes.

* Take a taxi from airport directly to the University, about RMB80. It takes about 30 minutes.

(b) Hongqiao International Airport

* Take public bus, No. 806, (RMB6 for bus fares) from the airport to Da Pu Lu Stop, then take public bus, Bridge Line 6, (RMB2 for bus fares) to Zhangjiang Station (the terminal station) of the metro, and then take public bus, Line Zhang Nan, (RMB1for bus fares) to Hua Tuo Lu Stop (the first stop) or take a taxi directly to the University, about RMB10. It takes about 1.5 hours.

* Take a taxi from airport directly to the University, about RMB110. It takes about 60 minutes.

(2) Q: How to get to the University from Shanghai Railway Station?

A: Take the metro, Line 1, from the south exit of Shanghai Railway Station to People's Square Station, then transfer to the metro, Line 2, (RMB4 for metro fares) to Zhangjiang Station (the terminal station) of the metro, and then take public bus, Line Zhang Nan, (RMB1for bus fares) to Hua Tuo Lu Stop (the first stop) or take a taxi directly to the University, about RMB10.

(3) Q: How to get to the three affiliated hospitals (Longhua Hospital, Shuguang Hospital and Yueyang Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicines) from the University?

A:

(a) Longhua Hospital : Take public bus, Line Zhang Nan, at Hua Tuo Lu Stop (RMB1for bus fares) to Zhangjiang Station of the metro, take public bus, Bridge Line 6, (RMB2 for bus fares) to Wan Ping Nan Lu Stop, and then walk along Wan Ping Nan Lu to the north for about 2 minutes.

(b) Shuguang Hospital: Take public bus, Line Zhang Nan, at Hua Tuo Lu Stop (RMB1 for bus fares) to Zhangjiang Station of the metro, take the metro, Line 2, to People's Square Station and transfer to Line 1 (RMB3 for metro fares) to Huang Pi Nan Lu Station, and then walk along Huai Hai Zhong Lu to the east for about 2 minutes, and turn right into Pu An Lu and walk for about 1 minute.

(c) Yueyang Hospital: Take public bus, Line Zhang Nan, at Hua Tuo Lu Stop (RMB1 for bus fares) to Zhangjiang Station of the metro, and then take metro, Line 2, to People's Square Station (RMB3 for metro fares), and then take public bus, No. 503, (RMB3 for bus fares) to Yueyang Hospital (terminal station)。

(4) Q: Is there a picking-up service in the University? Is it free? How much does it cost if not?

A: The University offers picking-up service. The overseas student who needs this service please tells the arriving date, flight number or train number to the Overseas Students Department, International Education College, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, in order to arrange the picking-up service.

Prices: RMB300/person from Pudong International Airport , RMB350/person from Hongqiao International Airport , and RMB200/person from Shanghai Railway Station.
